the intro song.. a very colorful fast paced foot tapping song, pertaining to rural lyrics & contrasting rural/urban lifestyles. nayantara adds to the color.. everything is good about the song.. i like the stress on ‘karisa kaadu’ from SPB in the course of the song..
- Style.. Oru Koodai Sunlight
highlight of the song is the white rajni.. doesn’t sound right, right? 
i think this was shot in spain, with spanish/mexican style costumes.. very attractive song.. with the usual lyrical punch..
‘eppodhum pachchai tamizhan.. ippo naa vellai tamizhan..’ ( now i’m a white tamilian.. but always a true to the heart tamilian..)
- vaaji vaaji vaaji.. en jeevan nee sivaji
ARR dishing out a peppy number is not news. Hariharan’s voice rendering a catchy tune is not news.
sometimes, good things come so frequently and predictably that they no longer seem good. hence I do not intend to describe this tune as the routine number by ARR.
some songs click on the first go… this is one of them. and it takes a lot to click with a majority. and I am sure this song has done that… no prizes for saying that. especially with Shankar, Rajni, ARR and a good number, in any case..
Vaaji is Horse in Sanskrit or Vaa (Welcome in Tamil) Ji (Respect in Hindi) or Wah-Ji (Applause)… whatever its intended to be…

for the metallic youth, listen to the clamorous ‘Adiradi kaara machcha‘.. (the video has reduced all the superheroes of the world to mere mortals.. ) it is a mega-star song with visual delight & physics defying portrayal.. well, thats a fan’s words.. others just call it a stupid song..
because, it is a whole james bond movie shot within a song..

one heck of a melody, ‘ by Vijay Yesudas.. arr surpasses himeself, everytime, when it comes to melody.. theres also the more famous udit narayan version..

the theme song, background beats, pep-up score.. whatever you want to call it.. it is rocking.. aye sivaaji… it has the couplets and quadruplet (whatever is the word for 4) lines denoting the power of rajni.. i always feel good, when there are brilliant theme music/bits… remember MI themes..
now even before the release of the movie.. my cousin in my native place had a couplet sticker on his walls & doors..
- cell phone adicha ringu.. sivaji adicha sangu.. (roughly translating to.. a cell phone’s toll is a ring.. sivaji’s assault is a death bell)
- kanna, panninga thaan kootama povum, singon singalathaan povum.. (my dear, only pigs go in groups, a lion roams around alone..) he says this to a group gazilion villains.. go figure
